What about Handicap Facilities?

There are few handicap facilities in China. Access ramps and other aides are limited to new construction. Sidewalks are often rough and not ramped. There seems to be a lot of steps to climb, especially where ancient attractions are located.

This can be arranged, but there is a daily supplemental fee of $35.00 per night during your stay in China.

What about Tipping?

Tipping is not the custom in China. However, tour groups may take up a collection and present it as a gift to tour guides. The guides are not well paid by our standards, and we don't allow "kickbacks" from merchants to the guides for bringing in tour groups. If the guide seems to be too eager for you to buy a certain item "DON'T" it probably means a kickback is involved.

What about Bartering?

We want you to use your own creativity when bartering, that's the fun of it. However, not all items can be bartered, so ask your guide first.

What do I need to know about departures?

With new security regulations in place, it’s possible there will be some delays checking in. For your convenience, the airlines recommend being at the airport 2-3 hours ahead of time. Under the new regulations, you must check yourself in, even when traveling in a group. We will have a representative on hand to assist you, if needed.

DEPARTURE FROM USA Requires a Passport and Visa.
It’s best to plan to arrive at the Airport, well ahead of time. Airport security suggests that you give yourself three hours before flight time to allow for security checks. Double check to make sure your personal I.D. and Tour Luggage Tag are on your luggage, for easy identification.

DEPARTURE FROM CHINA– To make sure everyone’s luggage is transported to the airport in time for all security checks, please have your checked baggage packed and ready at the indicated time (you will be notified of the exact time in advance). Take a few minutes to make sure your personal ID & Tour Luggage Tag are on your luggage.

You will be notified of the hotel departure time. Please be ready. Plan to have breakfast, after you have packed.

DEPARTURE FOR THE EXTENDED TOUR– You will be notified of the flight time, the hotel departure time and the time that baggage will be collected. You will be given luggage tags for your checked bags that are not carry on. Keep your carry-on bags with you.
